January 27, 2022 [CLEVELAND]– Today, Bedrock announces Jason Russell as Senior Director of Operations and Leasing for Tower City in Cleveland. Effective January 14, 2022, Russell will help guide operations and revenue generation to ensure momentum for lifting Tower City on numerous fronts for Bedrock’s shorter and longer term vision. Russell will apply his decade of experience to operations, planning and cultivating relationships with local businesses to foster tenant attraction and retention as well as facilitating the operations to achieve this. He reports to Ivy Greaner, Bedrock’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Jason’s decade of well-rounded experience in real estate, planning, operations and dedication to relationship building were the exact expertise we were looking to add to our Tower City team,” said Ivy Greaner, Chief Operations Officer at Bedrock. “His strategic approach and engagement will be essential as Bedrock’s investment in the Cleveland market evolves in the coming years.”

In July of 2021, Bedrock announced plans to reimagine Tower City as a retail marketplace, featuring a hub for shopping, pop-up retail experiences, dining and entertainment. Since then, Bedrock has signed new leases with multiple local retailers, hosted national artists in the Skylight Concourse, offered holiday events and activities for families and is now ramping up partnerships with national brands in anticipation for NBA All Star Weekend. Russell will play an important role in building out Tower City’s future, bringing in local and national commercial operators to maximize value and experience for Clevelanders.

Prior to joining Bedrock, Russell served as General Manager of the Van Aken District, a mixed-use development in Shaker Heights, Ohio. In this role, he directed commercial real estate responsibilities, including maintenance, operations, leasing and marketing. He was also a Site Selection and Development Specialist at the Zaremba Group and a City Planner for the City of Lakewood, where he managed the City’s Storefront Renovation Program, CDBG housing programs and the $2.1 million Solstice Steps project at Lakewood Park.

“I look forward to hitting the ground running in my new role with Bedrock,” said Jason Russell, Senior Director of Operations and Leasing, Bedrock Cleveland. “With a solid foundation in place, it’s exhilarating to join the esteemed Cleveland team and will focus my immediate efforts on continuing the strategic growth momentum.”

Mr. Russell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Lehigh University, and a Master of Urban Planning, Design and Development at Cleveland State University. He resides in Shaker Heights, Ohio and will be based in the Bedrock office located at 250 W. Huron in Downtown Cleveland.
